"he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father" Jn 14:9

Nature of GOD

THE TRINITY & ATTRIBUTES

God is One,

God makes this clear on innumerable occasions and the bible bares record.

God as infinitely grand as He is, speaks of Himself in plural.

This could be due to His Majesty or to the fact the He is a Triune God; 3 Persons, 1 same God

The Trinity

The creed of faith - describes Him best

I believe in one God,

The Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth and of all things visible and invisible.

And in One Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages. Light of light; true God of true God; begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by Whom all things were made; Who for us men and for our salvation came down from Heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man. And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried. And the third day He arose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; Whose Kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; Who spoke by the prophets.

In one Holy, Catholic (Not Pope Catholic), and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.

Amen.

The Father - Godhead

1st Person of The Trinity

I AM

I AM THAT I AM

YAHWH

The Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth and of all things visible and invisible.

The Son - Son of God - Jesus

2nd Person in Trinity -

The Word, The Way, The Truth, The Life, Image of the Invisible, Creator, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Prince of Peace, The Saviour, Light of the world, The Example

John 14:9

Jesus  saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou  not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how  sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

One Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages.

The Holy Spirit - GOD is Spirit

3rd Person in The Trinity Who proceeds from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; Who spoke by the prophets.

The Comforter, Intercessor, Lord, the Giver of Life,

Spirit

John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God's Spirit Is Everywhere

Genesis 1:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."

We are His temple - He Dwells Within us

I Corinthians 3:16

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Helps Us
Romans 8:26
Likewise  the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should  pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us  with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the  hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh  intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

No Pardon
Mark 3:29

But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

John 8:12 “

I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."   1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.   Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

Romans 1:19

“ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

"I AM the Alpha & the Omega" - Jesus Christ

The Father and the Holy Spirit are beyond understanding because God is beyond understanding. Jesus being the image of the invisible God, He does whatever the Father does. Jesus is the visible of the invisible.

If we would have seen Jesus, we would have seen The Father. (John 14:9)

Jesus proceeds from The Father and that is why Jesus said that The Father is greater than He.

Jesus is our Only Advocate
He is our Only Judge He is our Only Saviour

(How wonderful is it, to have your Judge be also your defense lawyer?)

Jesus is God and He said so

Revelation 22:12
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Revelation 22:16
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

John 10:33
The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.” 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” 39 Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

John 16:7
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 “of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 “of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;

John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Mark 2:7
“Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? 9 “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Matthew 28:17
When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

John 17:9
“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 “And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 “Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

Colossians 1:10-23
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Note

(Us, Our Salvation & Everything Else belongs to Jesus)

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Jesus mission was to save the lost and show us the way by fulfilling all Prophecy.

"I am with you always" - Jesus Christ

Jesus is eternal & He is never changing. He Is THE Solid Rock which you can anchor yourself to

Matthew 28:19-20

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Jesus was God with us He is God with us and when He Returns He will be among us again.
